Hair extensions for short hair in Ewell
Growing out a shorter cut? Extensions may add length while your own hair grows. We’ll check whether your current length can hide the fixings and blend with the result you want.
Extension consultation: £5 refundable deposit • colour match • suitability assessment • exact quote before you decide

Adding length to a shorter cut
The aim is not simply to attach more hair. The challenge is creating a believable transition between your natural hair and the added length.
Believable length
Add length without an obvious break between natural hair and extensions.
Careful blending
Cutting, shaping and where the fixings go help the finished result sit naturally.
A realistic plan
We recommend a length and method your own hair can support.

Can hair extensions work on short hair?
Sometimes, yes, but suitability depends on your starting length, fullness, haircut and desired result. Very short or heavily layered hair may require more extension hair, more detailed blending or a different target length than you first imagined.
Your natural hair comes first.
If we do not believe extensions can be fitted safely or blended convincingly with your current hair, we will tell you.
The blend matters more than the length
Adding length is only part of the job. Method, where the fixings go, quantity, colour matching and the final cut all affect whether the extensions look integrated with your own hair.

What we check on a shorter cut
Your extension consultation includes:
- Assessment of your natural length, fullness and condition
- Discussion of your desired length and result
- Colour matching
- Recommended method
- Recommended amount of hair
- Maintenance expectations
- Exact quote before you decide
Which extension method is right for short hair?
There is no single best method for short hair. Suitability depends on your starting length, fullness, desired result, where the fixings go and maintenance preferences.
Tape
Flat, lightweight and quick to fit.
On a shorter cut, we check whether the upper layers can cover the flat tapes.
Nano
Small, individually fitted and discreet.
Individual fixings can help us work around the shape of a shorter cut, subject to coverage.
Weft
Designed for significant volume and length.
A weft needs enough natural length and supporting hair to hide it and blend the ends.
Not every method suits every client. Your stylist will assess your own hair before recommending any method.
What will it cost?
Your total price depends on the method, shade, length and amount of Remi Cachet hair required. We confirm your complete price at consultation before anything is ordered.
The Installation & Finish prices below are for the professional service only; extension hair is charged separately.
Let’s talk about the price properly.
Compare the fitting prices below. Hair is charged separately, so the complete cost is confirmed at consultation.
Your total depends on how much hair you need, the length, the method, your natural hair and the result you want.
Your extension price has two parts: your Remi Cachet hair and your professional Installation & Finish service.

- Regular maintenance appointments as your natural hair grows
- Appropriate home care
- Method-specific upkeep
- Eventual refitting or replacement of the hair
We’ll explain the maintenance required for your recommended method before you commit.

What our clients say.
Independently verified reviews from SalonSpy.
Good to know.
Is there a minimum starting length?
There is no single length that works for everyone. We check whether your cut can cover the fixings and whether the ends can blend with the added hair.
Can extensions blend with a blunt bob?
A blunt edge can remain visible over longer hair. We discuss the amount of added hair and any blending cut needed before recommending a length.
What if my short cut has lots of layers?
Short layers may make fixings harder to cover. We check them around your parting, sides and back and may recommend waiting for more growth.
How much length can I add?
Your starting cut, hair strength and how the ends blend determine a realistic length. A longer result is not always the right first fitting.
Will I need my own hair cut to blend it?
We may need to soften an edge or blend layers. We explain the proposed cut before fitting rather than assuming you want to lose more of your own length.
What happens as my own hair grows?
Refit visits let us check the fixings and blend as your cut grows. Your stylist recommends the interval and explains the ongoing cost.
